For example, if a person(s) was born in some remote part of the world with no access to any form of media and had no understanding of religion what so ever for all their lives, then how would your 'God' judge them at their death? If you catch my drift.
Update:I am not religious by the way.

well, if you're a Xian fundie, that person goes to hell.
no grey area. Ignorance is no excuse.
I'm so glad that they're deluded.
If I believed for a minute that even a small percentage of the things in the bible were based on fact, I would jump out of a friggin window.
A person who has never been exposed to religion should stop worrying about "god" and be thankful they never had that stuff shoved into their heads.
He judges by the hearts intent. And while judgment is His alone, He judges not. He only reflects your own assessment. Don't worry. In spirit you cannot lie to yourself. You cannot fake it. You know in your heart where you stand even if in this life you lied to yourself about it. Before God, face to face with the Truth, you are exposed.
All men have conscience which is the first whispers of God's presence in man.
Man's punishment is not God's intention but the suffering that comes when a man bashes his head against the solid rock of God, the foundation upon which the whole world rests. The rock has no intention of hurting you. You do it to yourself. You stick your hand in the fire you get burnt. The fire has no intention of hurting you. It is set up that way so you will pull back and not loose your hand. Just so with your whole life.
I don't believe in any god but..
I think if we found there was a god when we die.. any supreme being would realise that just because someone believed in another god because of what they were told doesn't mean they should go to hell..
Any true god would judge people by their actions and interactions with otehr people and what good or bad they done in their life... no matter what they believed... if they led a good life they would be judged to be good by any reasonable god..
"For whenever people of the nations that do not have law do by nature the things of the law, these people, although not having law, are a law to themselves. They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused. This will be in the day when God through Christ Jesus judges the secret things of mankind, according to the good news I declare."
In my religion, Islam, we believe that at one point in your life, even if you are in the most remote of areas, you will hear about Islam and its teachings, even if it may be for a small amount of time, but you will have the opportunity to embrace the word of God.
For those that do not live long enough to hear the word of God or even understand it, eg. children, then I personally believe that Allah will not punish you for not having embraced the Quran and instead will judge you on your deeds. If the person is not in control of oneself, eg. congenital neurological disorders or during epilepsy etc. you will not be held accountable for your deeds, however it is the responsibility of others to protect you and look after you
If god loves us the way people say he does, then he would have no reason to judge us harshly and would give us the opportunity to learn after death. Should we choose not to learn, punishment would be a choice.
God would judge the good and bad things the person does and also the person's conscious and intentions and how their response to situations when placed in. also actions are judged by intentions so if he is ignorant then he should be judge on his intentions
That's no excuse:
We all have conscience and we know right from wrong, God speaks to every man in his conscience, you either obey or disobey him.
You don't need a book, or as you say: Religion.
Paul said:
Ro 1:20 -
FOR THE INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM FROM THE CREATION OF THE WORLD ARE CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE:
wherever the creations is, God can teach you of himself even by it, don't need a Bible to teach you about himself.
Therefore, NO ONE HAS A EXCUSE to be walking around in disbelief of God.

Those who have never heard the gospel will be given justice. People don't go to hell primarily "because they don't believe in Jesus" but rather because they have sinned against God. If they have lied, stolen, murdered, committed adultery, etc., God will punish them -- not because of their ignorance, but because they have sinned despite the light God gave them via their conscience.
I believe god is a loving god, He knows they didn't turn there back on a religion, she just wasn't exposed, god is understanding, I don't believe he is the punishing god that some religions want you to believe,And I often heard it said, if you do not join a certain religion, or quote 'The true religion' you will go to hell, There is not one person on this earth that could possibly have that knowledge or insight. destiny
