A tan is created by the release of melanin deep within the base layers of the skin following exposure to sun/uv light. Once that exposure ceases so does the increased production of melenin... your tan fades. Applying topical moisurisers etc isn't going to reverse that.
Lots and lots of moisturising body lotions and body creams work. They stop the skin from drying out. Drink plenty of water too to keep the skin hydrated and to prevent peeling

Bathe in olive oil and 10 mins under a sun lamp.

Get a chair, and on a sunny day pop it outside and sit on it
Use sun milk/after sun lotion
with plenty of moisturising
