Is Chester a nice place to visit for a weekend break?
My girlfriend and I are thinking of going in a couple of weeks and I am just wondering what it is like for shopping, nightlife, restaurants etc. I have heard it is a lovely little place to visit!
Yes, it is lovely - we have been several times [ from Scotland]. It is very olde worlde as far as architecture, shops etc go [ just the sort of thing women like] We found several good restaurants - can't tell you about the night life as we babysat while our daughter and son-in-law went out!!! Go on the hop-on, hop-off bus tour first, which shows you where everything is in relation to everything else --and have a great time!
Chester is applicable as a weekend holiday spot, there's a lot to be certain and do, the procuring is reliable, it has unusual shops too (seem to remember a save that specialized in kites!) so no longer your customary highstreet shops, and all in medieval arcades on 2 stages. only element i could say is that the pubs are no longer great at evening, and the nightlife, for some reason, is slightly tough. have confidence it or no longer, the daughter of the Duke of Westminster (the community posh nob) who's a former bo of Prince William, stopped going out in Chester, and as a replace favorite to bypass for the time of to Liverpool with the aid of fact it replaced into safer.
