I am currently renovating my new 2 bed terrace and am having a new combi boiler and radiators etc installed.
Which make and model should I go for, someone told me a Gloworm 30cxi is pretty good, any advice?
Cheers.

Worcester Bosch and Vaillant are widely regarded as the best, the important thing for a long lasting installation, is that the system is cleaned properly and the water quality is right (should be less than ph 8).
Yes, try lowering the temperature on your boiler to start with. Make it so you can just touch the water coming out of your hot tap. Then you can test your shower properly. Hopefully you have a thermostatic shower, which you need with a combi boiler. If you are still having the same problem, then it is likely the thermostat inside the shower valve is sticking and you need to replace it. Check also that the two filters in your shower manifold are not blocked. If you have a mixer shower on yor bath taps, then use these to compare with.
from my experience any combi will at best "crap" and as no-one can tell which will last (i go out to 2year old combi's that are needing major parts ) so go for the boiler that offers you the longest warranty parts and labour .the reason is if you look in most brands you would find the same components.and if live in a hard water area have a electronic descaler fitted also fit a magnaclean on the return pipe of your boiler this will collect most debris when the installer dosen't flush the system properly.
Vaillant and Worcester are regarded as the better boilers at the moment.
If you get a Worcester accredited installer then you can get a five year warranty, if not you still get a two year warranty.
Just make sure it is a Corgi registered installer. Go on Corgi's website and look for an engineer near you
Go for the best you can afford, Bosch (Worcester) is good,Vaillant are also good. Well any German boiler, the best.
Reliability is the most important thing.
Don't be fooled into thinking a boiler is better because its 1% more energy efficient.
A broken boiler waiting for an expensive repair is useless.
(plumber).
My daughters friends dad works for British gas, he fitted our boiler but would only fit a Worcester combi boiler, he said they were the best.
Hi there, I have installed Ferroli boilers for about 8 years now not had too many troubles with them and have got one in my own house. If you were a customer of mine I would suggest to you that you install a Ferroli Optimax HE 31C this boiler comes with a 5 year parts and labour guarantee providing you have it installed by and serviced every year for 5 years by a CORGI registered installer, find more info @ www.ferroli.co.uk hope this helps.
Yes I second that, Worcester is a part of Bosch and the boilers are the best in my view.
According to my source, Glow-worm receives ** out of *****. There are several better brands. Check out the brand rankings page at my source for the complete list. Then you can locate a fitter through the manufacturers site.
whatever size property you live you wont beat a Worcester boiler ...as a builder its the only one i fit as its the most reliable and efficient ..Ive fitted one in our daughters house ..there one for every condition ..
