My stepmother took my mum's rings, all the photos of her, all of our family photos and baby photos and destroyed them. That really p1ssed me off. They divorced after 2 years :)
I felt I'd been ripped off because I had trusted her not to trash these things (which were all in a cupboard and weren't doing any harm).
It's been more than 10 years now, but my blood still boils when I think about it - aaagggh.
A removal firm quoted £70 to take my furniture one street. It took them so long at one point I thought they had took my stuff away. When the bill came in it was £220 and I had to pay it . But at every opportunity I always tell people not to use them. Slowly their reputation for conmen is paying off. Revenge is a dish best eaten cold.

Lent brother £600 for new part on his lorry. One week later lorry caught fire. He claimed on insurance and kept all the money. Something not quite right there. He now conveniently forgets about it despite reminders and requests.
