How do you see the Hatton v Malignaggi fight going on saturday?
Do you think Hatton will struggle with the speed (not power!) of Malignaggi, will he get hit too much, will Hattons aggressive style play into his hands?
Well i'm not a boxing expert, just a fan but i've been watching some of Malignaggi's previous fights and i also watched he last fight live and he looks pretty good. He has already fought a great fight against Cotto, he took it to the end and his face looked like a pumpkin...so there's no question about heart as he has it without a doubt. You mentioned his cockyness...yes he is very annoying, always has a word (or a thousand) to say but then i guess that's boxing. I'm a fan of Ricky Hatton, but i'm also a realist and in his last fight he didn't look too great, maybe he lost a bit of confidence after the Mayweather fight? Hatton has been trained differently since then though, by Mayweather Sr so it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Malignaggi has been training for about 3 weeks longer in Vegas, though i'm not sure what difference that will make compared to what Ricky has been doing. I just hope Ricky don't go in there thinking he's going to steam roll him like usual, as PM will be too fast and it would be worrying for Ricky if he did that. I know Ricky will never give up, he will keep going until he can barely stand up..both fighters have passion by the bucket loads...i really can't call it though i will be cheering for Ricky come Sunday morning.
malignaggi will be dangerous for the first 5 rounds,he's not a knock out specialist but can punch good with both hands,so hatton should not think he is going to knock pauli out straight away.like to see hatton win ,but i think he's had too many hard fights.and wouldn't be surprised at a shock win for pauli and hatton calling it a day.
Ricky has promised a more controlled performance and with his fitness levels and ability to turn the fight into a brawl if necessary I see him beating Malignaggi but I don't think he will knock him out as Paulie is too resilient as he showed against Miguel Cotto. I don't think he has enough fire power in his punches to unduly worry Hatton
malignaggi wasn't throwing something together with his appropriate, and hatton replaced into beating him down. Malignaggi replaced into appropriate, they did no longer end the cotto combat, yet i think of his coach basically could no longer watch him getting beat down to any extent further. i think of Hatton is a much greater effective fighter than Malignaggi, yet Paulie has extremely some combat in him. Edit: Sorry...LOL i replaced into thinking of Paulie
Hatton has got a lot to prove now.. And he will, maybe an early round knockout, def a cut, no ko, but an agressive fight with a hard bunch of last rounds... But Ricky will win, after all he is british!
