Not making yourself throw up every day.
Maybe like once or twice a week or so. Maybe less.
Don't tell me how stupid it is blah blah blah shouldn't do it.
I'm completely just wondering.
I am not saying I'm bulimic.
Input from people who are actually bulimic and how it effects their lives would also be appreciated.

hi i'm bulimic, i have been for 12 years and i go through stages. EG. sometimes i can go for weeks with out purging then other times i purge 4-6 times a day.
the main side effects i get are sore throat, really bad skin ( sometimes very oily, sometimes very dry, but always red and blotchy), bloodshot eyes, dehydration, anaemia, and plus i have a lot of metabolism problems and circulation problems, i've been told these are due to electrolyte imbalances (like salts, potassium etc.) also my hands smell of vomit alot.
other side effects that i don't get include yellowing of teeth, and smell of vomit. I also go through stages of depression and for a while i felt ashamed of my secret, like i had to hide it. there are also alot more serious side effects, like cardiac arrest, torn oesophagus etc.
hope that helps
First of all, since bulimia is more severe in some cases than others, the time frame completely depends on the frequency with which the person in question purges themselves. I've known a few girls with eating disorders, specifically bulimia, and some of them never managed to look 'thin' - they'd still be about size 8-12! How bad their teeth will get will depend primarily on whether they purge by using laxatives or vomiting, but if they brush their teeth immediately after vomiting, someone may never notice. Other effects can include the loss of a girl's period, or in some cases permanent harm to her reproductive system to the point of infertility. More noticeable signs are when the person is very cold even in warm weather, if the person has unnatural body proportions (Ie, her upper arms and wrists are the same size), unusually brittle and non-shiny hair, and frequently 'disappearing' immediately after meals. If you think a friend has bulimia, you need to make sure she gets help IMMEDIATELY, cause it can have permanent, serious consequences. It's not worth it for anyone to ruin the rest of their lives just in an attempt to look skinnier. If there's a serious weight problem, a doctor can help her deal with it properly.
Probably acid reflect would be the main one... but even if you only do it once and a while, it could lead to doing it more often and more medical issues...
All of my friends thought i was bulimic because i was sick and throwing up all the time, its not fun when people think that...
It is a very serious matter... firstly, binge eating is not good for you, by throwing up numerous times the stomach acid ruins your mouth and gums, not eating screws up your metabolism even more so ur metabolic rate will actually decrease because your body is trying to conserve fat. The next time you eat you will get fatter because of ur body wants to save as much energy as possible. In other words its not a good idea :)
Tooth decay
Tissue damage along the esophagus
Possible ulcers or other stomach issues
(long time friend and bulimic just got stomach cancer)
Throws of your metabolism
You reduce the ability to uptake vitamins and minerals
Can lead to death
Sounds awesome.
You are bulimic.
If you make yourself sick to lose weight that is an illness. No matter how many times a week you do it, to do it weekly is bad!

Other bulimia side effects include difficulty conceiving a child, a larger risk of miscarriage and premature birth after conception. Some theorize that nature requires humans and animals to be healthy themselves in order to continue to propagate a species that is capable of surviving—theory of natural selection. Bulimia side effects damage a woman’s body which can physically inhibit her from having healthy children in the future.
Well there is acid in your vomit and that acid can eat away at your tooth enamel and also make your teeth a nasty dingy color. That acid also eats away at the lining of your throat. I actually tried this to lose weight and when i looked down in the toilet and saw blood it scared me shitless! Never did it again. I know you say you're just wondering but if you are possibly considering this....DON'T! It's just not healthy.
People who have bulimia (even slight) tend to be weaker: Light headed and such. They also tend to get sicker more because not enough food is being put in the body's systems. Mentally, one with bulimia may keep thinking they're not skinny enough, and continue to do it without realizing, really. But that's not certain...
NO CLUE!!!!!!!!
