I'm really not willing to bolt any type of counterbalance weight on the guitar nor do I want to mess with the strap bolts(I don't know what the official name for these are). I'm really looking for a nice guitar strap. Anyone already gone through this before and was able to fix the nosedive of the SG with simply purchasing a nice guitar strap?

Most guitar straps are going to behave the same. If it's hurting your neck, then you can get a strap pad:

I have the same problem with the SG Doubleneck I have..it's very neck heavy and does a nosedive like yours.
Try not to let the guitar hang really low, shorten the strap so that the top cutaway edge hits a couple of inches below your left nipple area. If the pad is tight on the strap it will also kind of help the sliding of the strap off your shoulder.
I know it doesn't look as "cool" as low riding guitar, but it's a hell of a lot more comfortable and also really helps with your overall guitar posture and wrist angle so that you'll find playing fast guitar licks is much easier.
