My youngest is on specialist formula, and it needs to be perfect. I can't tell you how many times I've had to chuck it out, because I forget what I am doing.
I sit *smarties* on the counter now, infront of the bottle I am making. As I scoop I eat a smartie. It takes a little longer, but less waste.
When i would make it in the middle of the night i would at times.. i have twins and they are 3 now, when they were babies there were times i would be like "how many scoops was that" and have to throw it away.
We also make formula in bulk and that seemed to happen more often cause my mind had a million thoughts
I usually don't..... but my husband does all the time. He will say.... oops.... I just put 4 scoops in.... its not that big of a deal.... you just have to add more water.
Best of luck on your project. If you are trying to prove parents can be forgetful... it won't be hard to make your cause..... lol.
no never its dangerous some mums are tired and a freind use to put a peice of paper in front of each bottle and mark off each scoop so to much or to little is not good
I haven't ever forgotten. I have containers that I can measure the formula into, and it has enough compartments to have four bottles made from it. I just measure and put them into there. I put nursery water into my bottles after I wash them, so that the water is already in there, just pour the formula into the bottles, and shake. It is pretty simple.
Argh yes I'm always doing that lol, if I do forget I chuck the water away and start again, so I tend to count out loud now as I always find my mind wandering when I'm counting them in and losing count! My family thinks it's hilarious to start saying random numbers to confuse me when I'm counting out loud though, argh, they wouldn't if it was them buying the formula!!!
Edit: Charli - LOL - what a brilliant excuse to eat smarties, I'm so doing that from now on :p
Oh and, why the thumbs down?! For being forgetful?? I must be a TERRIBLE mother lol.

Once, then I tossed what I had and started over. I try to be more alert now when preparing the bottle.
LOL yup did that many times. Usually in the middle of the night when I was still half asleep!
Yes, I have done that. I normally just start over with a fresh bottle. I am sure it will be worst now that I am expecting twins.
