A little bit of coffee or any caffeine is ok...as long as it is in moderation....but here is an article about it to help you understand why some say not to have it at all...
Good Luck!
There’s been much fuss lately over whether coffee is safe to drink during pregnancy. A summary of the current research: it’s probably safe in moderation, but don’t drink 47 cokes or ten gallons of coffee a day if pregnant.
However, doctors in the Netherlands have discovered the drinking coffee before you get pregnant may be harming your chances of conceiving. Wannabe moms who drank more than four cups of coffee a day had a 26% lower chance of conceiving naturally. Compare that to the damaging effects of smoking - reducing chances by 44%, of being overweight - reducing changes of conceiving by 29%, or drinking alcohol more than three times a week - 26% less likely to conceive.
Doctors already knew that being overweight, smoking and drinking all affect fertility, but are surprised that caffeine has comparable effects.
Conversely, fathers-to-be might benefit by drinking coffee. Men with drowsy sperm can wake them up with a cup of joe, which seems to increase sperm mobility i.e. bettering the chances of the little wiggly things getting to the egg, instead of giving up or getting a bit tired and needing to sit down and then forgetting what they are supposed to do on the way.
Random caffeine fact: spiders can’t spin a web after imbibing caffeine. They get all frantic and confused, and make something that looks like toddler art rather than a web. Spiders high on marijuana or LSD did a better job than the ones who’d drunk lattes. NASA did this research. Aren’t you glad your tax dollars are spent so wisely? (And no, my toddler isn’t on drugs.)
So for those trying to get pregnant, when you brew up a cup of coffee or find a fridge pack of Pepsi has found it’s way into your shopping cart (sneaky little things, those fridge packs) give it to your man, and hopefully it will benefit you both. And you’ll fill up the favor bank for exchanging for foot-rubs and back massages when you do get pregnant.
I drank caffeinated coffee the whole time we were TTC. As soon as I found out I am pregnant, however, I made the switch to decaf. Most doctors say that small doses of caffeine while pregnant are okay, but I figured what the heck I like the decaf just the same, so it wasn't too hard for me to make the switch.
You can still have some caffiene while pregnant. I stopped drinking coffee all together, got nasty headaches, and my doctors orders were...GO HAVE SOME COFFEE. She even went and got me a can of Mt. Dew. It's not bad unless you drink it a lot. They even gave me Mt. Dew while doing fetal monitoring to get her to be more active. Go figure...
Yes, it is fine. There is no reason to cut out caffeine while TTC, unless your doctor recommends it due to some specific medical reason that is unique to your situation. As far as caffeine while pregnant, the guideline is to keep your daily caffeine intake below 300 mg.
Yep my doctor told me that a cup a day is fine. Although I stopped anyways and now if I drink even 1 cup I start bouncing off the walls lol, but it is completely fine.
Its recommended that you dont drink to much coffee when your pregnant, but it cant be that bad because when i was pregnant, guess what my craving was........ coffee lol and i have a perfect little girl, absolutely nothing wrong with her x
When you are pregnant you have to watch your caffiene intake. Each doctor says things differently! My doctor never told me how much I could have, just to limit it.
While you are TTC, I have read to cut/limit caffiene as well.

Yes, coffee will not "kill your baby" so extremist say cut it out but unless you drink a case of red bull everyday you are fine.
Also, load up on the milk in your coffee drinks the calcium is good for you and the baby.
My doctor said the worst junk food to eat while you are pregnant is ice cream or high calcium foods.
I drank a Mocha BR Blast everyday sometimes two per day during my pregnancy its like a milkshake with a shot of espresso.

Yea, one cup a day is ok. Of course, its better not to drink any caffiene, but a little won't hurt.
