Heart of Darkness question?

In Heart of Darkness, the author uses images of light and dark. Light represents good and dark represents bad. Doess Conrad use these interpretations in the same way? What do Conrad's constant references to light and dark suggest about Marlow’s story? Remember, Africa is the “dark continent,” where the black natives live.

This is for my final. so far i have a few things that relate to light and dark.

1. the title of the story representing how evil a heart can turn.

2.The forest being known for its darkness

3.The Africans being dark skinned

4. The "light skinned ones" being the europeans supposedly being in africa for a good cause. hence the light

any other opinions/things to relate to light and dark?
