Why can't we find out where illegal aliens are and deport them?
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.
Update:While I agree there would be some disruption the economy. But how much?
They are taking low paying jobs that US citizens don't want? Maybe those jobs would pay more if there weren't people here illegally who would take them. "Ripping" them from their jobs is an exaggeration.
And what about all the cost of putting the ones who commit crimes in the US in prision? That's got to cost a bundle.
Suspend the Posse Commitus act for a while. Put the US military on the border and tell the ACLU to take a hike if an illegal alien gets shot crossing it.
But I do agree on one point. Seal the borders first.
And i don't think there's a thing wrong with what AZ is doing. If the US government were doing it's job there wouldn't be a need for the AZ law.

due to the latino habit of identity theft, moving frequently to avoid detection and the protection offered by their "families"......it is difficult to determine who is who let alone who is here legally.....however, granting another amnesty to side step this process of deporting them is cowardly at best..........
as far as "ripping" illegals from their jobs and families......another example of the "entitlement" issues these people demand of our nation and resources......shameful character quality if you ask me...
AZ is an example of government still left in our nation whose balls attach to their backbone......economically-----it will all pan out in the end.......
Here in the Keys the Border Patrol was told to not interfere with the road construction crew in anyway There all latinos working there. Till we vote out all the Amnesty wanters illegal lovers and get in some with true Grit like AZ and other states pack the illegals up and ship them back to the home country where ever it may be.Family's included.Take back the USA The CHANGE we need,Find them just put the buses in from of the Social services offices. Winn/Dixie. HomeDepot.They could have non stop bus loads with out kicking down any doors.

BTW, putting the US military on the border might not necessarily even be a violation of Posse Commitus laws as long as they are not coming into regular contact with citizens

I must say that this isn't a question of resources, but a question of politics. This would be economically devastating to just rip-out 11 million people from their jobs. We would also have to waive some of our liberties (like being required to have our ID on us at all times like the current Arizona legislation). There is also the problem of people protesting and rioting, plus we don't have the means to stop them from coming back.
Although I do fancy the idea myself.
Wake up, Sleeping Beauty! You don't need border fences. All we need is a fool-proof national ID card for everybody, including immigrants, legal or not. Then go after the employers with a big stick. And finita la comedia!
In case you didn't notice, anyone can fly in on a visa and then disappear. They all come to make money. That's where you catch them.
