Who's idea was it to draw US Congressional Districts like this?
Last Tuesday I saw a map for the 12th Congressional District in PA. And I remembered a story I was taught in High School about Gerrymandered districts. And I thought OHMIGAWD! Those things still exist? And that's not an isolated instance. It's all over the US. I've even got a link for proof.

Now I'm dating myself, but JFK was the President when I heard this. With all the technology we have today, can't we do better? It's my opinion there's no excuse for this.

Take a look at Illinois Rep Luis Guitierrez's district....you won't even believe the gerrymandering going on...well, on 2nd thought it is Chicago.
The great Chicago Democratic Machine drew these lines to keep him elected.

In Texas, the occasion it quite is on top of problems with the State Senate and the domicile of Representatives. That way they could get themselves re-elected. even in spite of the indisputable fact that it sounds as though that this year their little making plans is going to bypass hog-wiled.
That was drawn by the Pennsylvania state legislature.
Now it is done to create minority districts. Shocking isn't it, we were taught how wrong this was, now it is common place.
