Like the user above said, our hair tends to be very fragile.
It's important to get a sulfate-free shampoo! And it's a bonus if it's paraben-free and silicone-free.
Try using Alaffia's African Black Soap. It's all natural, comes in a pump, and has Peppermint, Lavender, Citrus and Unscented to choose from!
Here's a little list!
Shea Mositure's African Black Soap Shampoo.
Nature's Gate (Any type...Hemp, Jojoba, Biotin seem to be the less flowery ones)
Giovanni Smooth as Silk or 50/50 Balancing Shampoo/Conditioner.
Tressume Naturals
Aubrey Organics
Any decently priced drug-store band that caters to men that doesn't have terrible chemicals.
Or if you're kinda broke/don't wanna spend too much...You can get a bottle/gallon of Apple Cider vinegar! That can clarify your hair and you should use it no more than twice a week. Make sure to dilute it with at least 2x's the amount of vinegar you put.
african american hair is very fragile and can break easily. you should get a shampoo that has a lot of moisturizer in it.
i believe that pantene makes a shampoo like this, it comes in a brown bottle. it has petroleum oil in it. also, look into sulfate free shampoos that are also moisturizing. you want a gentle shampoo that will not strip your hair or dry it out.
i don't know much about axe shampoo but i have not heard of it being moisturizing. i would prob not use it.
make sure that you condition your hair after you wash it. i like bumble and bumble coconut conditioner. its expensive but it works
