I have a question about the eyes being a window to the soul.?
I dont understand the meaning of being able to see someones soul through there eyes. How can you see that? How can you personally see what a person is like? I usually look at the whole face and then judge/ assume personalities from there.
Update:And how can you tell when someone is lying?

The eyes are very closely connected to the brain. Like if someone takes certain drugs their eyes look very wide & stiff as the eyes have become affected because the brain has been affected. So really the eyes tell you a lot about the person. It is not unusual for a cruel person to have a cruel look in the eyes, or a nice person to have an innocent look in the eyes.
Well it's just because if someone looks into your eyes while asking you a question and you realize it you may turn hostile if you don't want to answer it, and then they can tell if you are lying or not.. I'm pretty sure that's all that they are talking about when they say "windows to the soul", not like they can really see your soul haha.
Emotions do show up in the eyes. It is always the first part of a person we look at when we meet someone. Someone did a an experiment with equipment that detected where we look when we meet a new person and although the gaze moved to the mouth, the eyes captured most of the attention. We are programmed to respond to eyes in our first moments of life.
You can almost always tell if someone is afraid or nervous from the expression in their eyes, and some of our judgement is subliminal (like responding to the dilation of pupils in a member of the opposite sex).
Of course, a good liar or a good actor can fool any of us.
This is just an expression. What this means is that if you communicate with someone, you can get a feel for where they are coming from if you are perceptive. Sometimes you can detect if someone is on drugs or is crazy by how their eyes bulge out or are dilated. But, generally, people let you know where they are coming from by how they act as a whole. Like if someone likes you, they act in a certain way and you can detect this if you are perceptive. But you can't determine if they like you by their eyes only, but by how they act.
Just a like a window in your house, you can see what is outside, and whatever you see outside the windows affect your soul.
So whatever you see, negative or positive, it will affect your soul.
