Considering how long it takes to drill a new well maybe it wasn't such a good idea to say, we're not going to allow any more drilling until we're absolutely sure nothing will ever happen that would cause an oil spill.
Maybe it would have been a better idea to have spent all the TARP and stimulus money on nuclear power plants than propping up public pensions and Wall Street.
