She is a cocker spaniel and her eye looks as if she has cut it. It is completely red; Even her "third eyelid" is red. Only one eye is red; The other is perfectly fine. What should I do?! My parents don't want to take her to the vet! I have already tried flushing it with water but it doesnt seem to be working... She has dried eye crust on her eye.
Thank you very much!
=)
Update:I havent been feeding her any treats, and her eye isnt completely crusted over.

yeah they need to let her go to the vet that isnt a good thing. unless they want your dog going blind and ending up paying a lot of money to help her you need to take her to a vet right away.
Sounds to me she has "pink eye" also known as "red eye." it's a type of eye infection that makes the eye a pink/red color and sometimes crusts all the way over so that the person/animal cant open it's eye. If there's crust, try using a warm washcloth to get it off. Otherwise, for the redness, take the dog to a vet. This is a semi-serious problem that won't go away on it's own.
Well
Every dog has and will have dried eye crust! = \
My dog has had that symptom b4, for my dog it was common that we were just feeding her too many treats..!
If not, take her to the vet!!
Best thing to do, you don't want that cute little thing to be blind!
Your parents don't want to take her to the vet? I'm sorry but that's just irresponsible pet ownership! You're not a doctor, nor are they! The vet is there for a reason...take your dog to the vet!!!
wait at least 2 weeks my dog had the same thing and i flushed it 2 weeks later it was all better but if its not talk to your parents again about taking her to the vet
She must go to the vet. I am sure that your parents will want to take her. That is the responsible thing to do.
Call your vet and explain the problem with the dog and if he/she says bring it in hand then phone to your parents and have him explain WHY the dog needs to be brought in.
It could be an infection, or it might be a bite from a bug, such as a mosquitoe. You'd be safest checking w/ your vet.
The only thing you can do is take her to the vets.
It might get infected!
She needs to see a vet!
Do you parents know they are risking blindness?
