I think she ate it, not 100% but pretty sure. We feed birds in our yard, there has been a parakeet back there off and on for the last few weeks, guess someone let him go or he escaped....
We were told that a parakeet needs a cuttlebone or their beak will grow to big or something and they'll starve, so we put one up by their food area in hopes the parakeet would chew on it.
This morning it was completely gone, either the wild birds devoured it or our silly German Shepherd ate it.
Will that hurt a big dog?

No, cuttle bones are usually not large enough to cause damage. Although some are quite large, as long as the one your dog (might have) eaten was not big, she should be fine.
If anything, she got a healthy snack! Just watch her and see how she does.
