Is the American public totally lacking in taste?
I know my taste differ some many people. But on American Idol there are two contestants I thought should have been gone long ago. The blond that sang last yesterday and the guy with the really long hair. Give me a break! Neither of them have a voice.
And Carley Simpson ending up on the bubble the last two weeks. What's up with that. That gal has the best voice there. Loud or soft she has power. Quality, David Archaletta is very good but she's great! I'd listen to her sing the alphabet song.

Do you even watch?? The blond girl? Hmmm... that leaves Brooke White and Kristy Lee Cook. The guy with the really long hair... that would be Jason Castro. Brooke and Jason are incredibly talented and have such unique styles and really stand out. Kristy Lee... has been horrible in the past, however the past 3 weeks she has stepped it up and is doing awesome.
And Carly Smithson is great!! It's not Simpson. But the ABC's?? That's the 2nd time I have heard you say that today. Weird!
Maybe you should watch....then you would have a better idea who's who and all that....

That's why people get to vote. That's why there are MILLIONS of votes. It is a contest. It is not life or death. Everyone has an opinion. For those who hate it, how do you know so much about it if you claim not to like it or watch it? And ask yourself this, could YOU do it? I am not just talking about the singing but the enormous pressure they are under is 24/7. They are kids even if some of them are in their late 20's. People are taking it too seriously. It is for entertainment purposes. Let it be that!

To the answer- I personally did not like Jason(the long hair one) at first but now i really like him. I think it's all about getting past the hair first. And for the blond I'm not sure if your talking about Kristy or Brooke but Kristy needs to go she can only sing country and i know Carrie (who won the show in the fourth season) is a country singer but she can also sing other songs as well.Brooke i love her but yes she did have a bad night two weeks ago but she is really good i hope she does well.
Bottom line the one who really needs to go is Kristy or maybe Syesha (she's good but not great and lacks personality you can never remember her) But Jason is a good singer and deserves to stay (it's just the hair i know you just need to get past that)
I disagree. I love Brooke and Jason. I think they have a very unique voice, it's something totally different from the other people like Carly, David A. and Kristy Lee. I think we need some originality, and that's why I like Brooke and Jason!

Some people vote for the person whom they like whether the contestant has talent or not.Likability is a factor to them while others use common sense and good judgement and vote for the person who really deserves it.
Reality shows represent the worst of the worst as far as the American public is concerned. I wish they would just go away.
face it you are watching high school at the highest level, its a popularity contest, and the judges are clowns, paula abdul seriously, randy a bass player for the doobie brothers, simon is the only one that tells it like it is and his is just an opinion.
