So close, I mean had Barrack Obama been White he would had won hands down, experience or no simply because he has the better idea where this country needs to go rather than McCain's rants but despite this I know being an Hispanic male that there are white people that wouldn't vote for him because he is part black, never mind that his mother was white. He just happens to be a man of color and to me that is proof that we still have a ways to go to kill racism in this country. Look at the latest polls for God's sake. who believes this race is close because of Mr Obama's complexion rather than his idea's???

Mud slinging by the Republicans to avoid discussing real issues and flip flopping by McCain adds to the confusion.
The issues is something that the McCain campaign wants to avoid.
The media has been used by the McCain campaign with faked outrage and outrageous distortions of the facts. This is to keep the true issues from being discussed intelligently-The economy and the Iraq/Afghanistan wars and the proposed war with Iran. The media is beginning to realize how they have been played. I hope the public wakes up to.
The media is getting wise to these tactics as stated in a Times-CNN Report:
"By the weekend, many news organizations had mounted a backlash of their own, running prominent pieces accusing the self-branded "straight-talking" McCain of deceiving voters. "The 'Straight-Talk Express' has detoured into doublespeak," announced the Associated Press, while the New York Times blared, "McCain Barbs Stirring Outcry as Distortions."
Follow the link or go to Youtube and search "The Real McCain" if you are confused about what is taking place.
As a visitor on "The View" McCain tried to justify these tactics by claiming that it was because Obama changed his mind about his proposed "Town Hall Meetings" debates.
When people stop fretting about race and focus on the issues Obama is sure to win.

Barack Obama has yet to connect with the middle class...He has connected only with blacks, and the liberal elite. His low numbers indicate to me that people don't trust him...I don't think it has anything to do with race. I as a white person do not like his politics..he is too liberal/leftist/radical for me. He also does not have enough experience to be President. If Colin Powell had run, I would have voted for him..so it is not racism. This is going to be a close race...and a few states will be in play for which either candidate will get the White House. I am for McCain because of his experience, his patriotism, and the fact that he is his own man...With Obama, I suspect he is a pawn of the radical liberal left of the Dem. party and will do as he is told if he becomes Pres. Do you want a Socialist state? With Obama, we will be moving toward it I think...I am assuming that you are a man of color...and are confused by the poll numbers..but it is because people do not know where Obama is really coming from..it is like he is a puppet....with no ideas of his own...
It has been a long time since presidential races weren't close.
In sum, there are probably more people voting for Obama due to his race than against.
There are a great many people who believe that he does not have a better idea where this country is going, I happen to be one of them.
People continue to mistake Democracy, they believe that it is we who choose the politicians. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is they who choose us.
Politicians conduct polls and focus groups and sharpen and hone a message intended to harvest as many votes as possible. They try to tell the right mix of lies to the right people hoping the lie that costs them five votes will garner six others.
Because of the sophistication of the people running the election they are two closely matched forces, each vying for that small little edge.
This race is close because that is the nature of this type of race. We could replace the candidates and have a similar situation.
Race has nothing to do with the way I will cast my vote. People are people no matter what their complexion.
There is one main reason why I will not vote for Obama (there are others but this one is key). His first major decision as the Democratic candidate was to pick Joe Biden. I consider that to be a terribly bad tactic designed to neutralize Hillary's impact on Pennsylvania. If he had picked Hillary, like he should have, this would be a different election.

Because the latest polls show that many ordinary Americans are questioning Obama's experience, the mainstream media is getting desperate, so they're bringing out the race-card again -I guess that's what you do when you can't answer questions about a candidate's experience, or what his ideas are, etc..
Why is this all about race suddenly again? I'm white and I don't know a single person not voting for Obama because he's black. Yahoo's article is as usual sensationalism.
TO ::: BIG MOUTH>>>>> No McCain will not win by no landslide !!!! That's why people like you is so nervously on this internet 24/7 trying to encourage people to vote for him !!!!
