How early do you start your Thanksgiving cooking?

I usually start sometime on Wednesday, but this year I started chopping vegies and tearing up bread crumbs already. Anyone else start earlier?

Depends... some years when we had like 25 people over, I would start it a week ahead, freezing some things, preparing others, etc.

This year we just moved and decided to have a nice, relaxing, quiet thanksgiving home with just the family.

Tommorow I'll do the brine, side dishes and all the appetizers and prepare a mixture for the dessert, which will go in the oven after the bird comes out.

I love to do as much as I can the day before. Usually by thanksgiving all I have do do is heat things, make mashed potatoes and put the bird in the oven.

I artwork in a kitchen at a nursing homestead. All of our nutrition are homestead cooked nutrition. We cook dinner for 33 human beings. Our turkey became into cooked today, would be carved Wed. and served Thursday. make confident in case you cook dinner it to maintain it interior the fat drippings that got here off of it. placed it back interior the oven on Thanksgiving for greater or less 30-40 5 minutes. it will be fantastic. although clean cooked turkey does style alot greater helpful.

I will probably start just before my husband gets home from work tomorrow so that the kitchen will be too busy to cook dinner and we'll get to order pizza.

I started the bread crumbs tonight and I also made my pie dough. I will do most of the prep tomorrow though.

OMG, I have to cook this year. Are you serious that I should have started today?? Gawd, I don't wanna do it at all and that was with it taking up only one day. If I have to start early...I just quit! Sorry Mom, dinner is OFF!
