How does this scenario pan out for the 2010 & 2012 elections?
1-The GOP wins the Congress like they are expected to, but not the Senate.
2-Obama spends the next two years vetoing every partisan "Tea Party" inspired piece of legislation.
3-The Democrat controlled Senate backs the President on EVERY veto, so the President, the Senate and the Democratic Party look stronger for fighting the right-wing Republicans.
4-The economy CONTINUES to improve, due to the Democratic policies that are already in place.
5-Congress' approval continues to falter due to their inability to get ANYTHING bipartisan done (see #2 above) and the GOP is blamed for the being the do nothing party because of their own infighting and inability to work in a bi-partisan manner, primarily because the Tea Party will not let them.
6-Due to the economy's continued growth, Our President becomes even more popular.
7-Our President wins re-election in 2012, and the Republican's lose the Congress.

Sounds about right. The country hates the republicans. The only reason the dems will lose this one is because of unemployment.
Not very well. Obama will sign legislation that is reasonable. He doesn't want to appear to be
against America. The economy will not improve unless the taxes scheduled to raise dramatically
in Jan are put off. That is both the Bush tax cuts and the Obamacare tax hikes.
Cap and Trade will drastically raise the price of utilities and further take money from the people.
Legalizing 10 million illegal aliens will just drive up the unemployment because their employers will
just hire more illegals and fire them. Illegals are cheaper.
Your scenario is almost pure fairy dust.
In this country with all of the misfits voting today, anything is possible, but it really sounds like something a drunk would come up with.
The Liberals are and have been calling the Conservative the "do nothing or obstructionist party for years already" never giving any thought to the Democrats doing the exact same thing when they were in the minority. Just the way Washington works, and why the American public has been losing.
I want that blasted birth certificate plastered on his forehead. The President of the United States, BY LAW, is to be born on American soil, so as to have less chance of him or her betraying the nation and its People. He spent a fortune to keep that document in hiding. I supported him, only to find he was a lying interloper. I don't care if he walks on water, he will never get my support. One big hitch will be: where will the money come from? How will Obama deal with spending bills that dramatically cut the funding his programs need? Will he shut down the government to get his way? If he does, how will the public respond?
Not really, that is pure fantasy. You forget the reason there is a republican tidal wave is not that people love republicans but because they OPPOSE Obama's failed policies.
