He never opened the door for me, and showed up late to our dates so I told him I wanted to break it off for a while. Well now he wants to get back with me, so I tested him out and said to call me and he said he couldn't because he had "a hang out meeting thing tonight" until 11. But the thing is... he's a really nice guy. Just sometimes I feel like he doesn't try as hard as he could or put me first. Am I asking too much and should I give him a second chance (we only ever had 2 dates and talked for 2 weeks btw...)

No way should he deserve another chance. its real easy for him to say he will change, but if in the beginning of the relationship he is jerky it will only get worse. You sound to be very nice, dont hold out for him do better for you. You are worth it. Good luck girl.
Really don't need the 10 points; however, you, two are so new with one another. There's one thing, many males are not taught to be a 'gentlemen' or have the simple manners, such as holding open a door. I look for that in a man. Don't have that, then he could be with someone else, and I wouldn't care how nice he is. He would be just a casual 'friend'.
