Honestly, my grandparents never fought that way and my parents wouldn't fight in front of me. But, if it's your grandparents, then I would just assume it's because when they get to a certain age, they're set in their ways. If that's the way they've ended things for however many years, they'll probably continue. Every person is different. But, a lot of people end arguments the same way every time. Usually a "don't walk away from me when I'm talking to you" or a "shut up."

i think you mean "grandparents" and "certain way". in answer to your question, my parents usually end arguments by saying "don't walk away from me" which is when I leave, or if its between them, "shut up, i don't wanna talk about it any more.
