My cat has always been the sweetest MoSt affectionate creature ever until just now. He's an indoor, un spayed male. He Was sitting at my screen door when another cat Waa outside. He lunged at the door, hissing and screaming at the cat. I went to move him and he cornered me, hissing and snapping at me... I'm afraid to go to bed now. How do I keep him from attacking me again? This was 10 min's ago and he is still following me and hissing at me!!! Help :((

Its not like that he wants to kill you...it just depends on the mood of cats...!!
as mood is the one important things for them ....u shuld tk care of the cat..and take precautions !!
MAINTAIN DISTANCE FROM THE CAT...!!! as u dont knw what in his mind..!!!
your cat's mood must be ok within some time...enroll him in some other activity...NAD GO TO BED NOW...!!
GOOD NIGHT...:D
Your cat was very agitated and excited when you went to move him .. BAD IDEA! Always give a cat or any other animal a chance to calm down after excitement like that. When you approached the cat to move it, it was already in attack mode towards the other cat. The cat freaked out and thought YOU were attacking it, too. So, it counter-attacked, in a way (not really because you didn't get bitten or scratched), mostly just to scare you off.
Stay out of the cat's way for a while. Don't try to touch it or pick it up. Just go to bed. The cat won't bother you now. The most you'll get is more hissy-fit stuff, which is just a STAY BACK! warning to you.
ALL cats get over-stimulated at times. Sometimes due to the presence of another animal. Other times due to too much petting. The smart person learns to recognize when the cat is getting that way and very quietly and carefully moves away from the cat. Your cat will be okay once it calms down.
maybe you should get you male cat "neutered" because he has balls, and female cats get "spayed". and chances are better than not tat he is getting to the age of a "tom cat" and wants to be free out of the house, and hes trapped. this is what some male tom cats go through being indoor, verses the out door cat that can roam around. you cat is not going to kill you. period.
Nope, of course not. I've never heard of anyone being killed by their domesticated pet cat.. They could be kind of feisty (which is why I prefer dogs at any given time) but not to the point of actually harming you. Just ignore your cat until he calms down. And spay him will help calm him down too!
He isn't going to kill you in your sleep! Jut try and calm him down, he's most likely feeling territorial over the other cat being in his yard. If you do end up tying him up or leaving him in a room make sure he has plenty of water.
you are bigger then he as my great aunt would say give him the "das boot" and get you cat fixed so this WILL NOT happen in the future remember this site has low cost pet spay and neutering http://www.aspca.org/Home/Pet-care/spayneuter if you can't find one in your zip code Google "low cost spay and neuter" believe me fixing him now is better for the both of you that way you don't have to put him down in the future because of testicular cancer that $40 now will save you time, hassle and heart ache http://www.petcaretakers.com/cats/cat-health/what-...
I dont think your cat can kill you, his claws aren't sharp enough and he doesn't have the strength to tear through skin and flesh. at least he can't give you a serious injury.
my suggestion is as follows. lock him out of your room for the night, and if his behavior still persists tomorrow, then take him to the vet asap. hope this helped.
No, he's not going to kill you! He is being territorial, he is pissed cause another cat came around plus get him spayed, he will be less aggressive!
One, get him spayed. It takes out a lot of aggression.
Two. Close your door. Unless he's a genius or has an opposable thumb, you should be safe.
Your cat is pissed at you, just lave it along for a bit. He will cool down I'm sure. Or put him in the bathroom or something.
