Why did cvs take back job offer?
I recently was hired at cvs,and did the background check,and drug test and yesterday(monday,) I called and asked if my information had come back,and the mgr said yes,but I can't hire you. I asked why,and he told me, that he didn't have any information,and the information he did have he would not tell me. I think I deserve an explanation,a reason as to what went wrong. How would I go about attaining that ?
Update:I know I didn't fail the drug test since I don't take drugs. I was totally open w/ the manager about a dui I had,and he said " no problem."

It sounds like you either failed the drug screen or there is something negative on your backround check. Either way - I agree with you. If there is something that results in your denial of employment I think you have the right to know. I would try one more time with the manager and tell him you are confused and concerned and if he still denies you, maybe you could contact CVS corporate office. Other than that, you could contact the lab to see if you can get your results and run your own backround check -especially if you had every expectation of clearing both checks.
