We have our names picked out but...?
So we have picked out our names but I just wanted to hear some non-bias opinions (and yes you can give non-bias opinions without being mean so please try) about the names and if the middle names sound like they mesh with the first name.
If we have a girl her name will be Alba Elise and if we have a boy the name will be Porter Thomas. My husband picked out the boy name and he loves it but it reminds me of a steak! does anyone else think of that or is it cause of my crazy steak cravings? :) Also My 2 year old daughter's name is Piper Grace, If we do have a boy will it sound too cutesy together? If we have a girl will Piper and Alba sound like it clashes too much?
Update:O and the reason the middle name for the boy will be Thomas is because it is my grandpa's name. I really do not want to use it as a first name due to my husband and I agreeing that our children will have slightly unique first names and then traditional middle names.

First, I love Piper Grace! That's adorable! I really like the name you have chosen for a boy. I never would have associated the name Porter with steak...lol. As far as Alba Elise...i'm not a fan, sorry. I really don't like either name. Alba is just too out there for me and Elise is too old fashioned. That's my unbiased, not mean opinion...lol. :) Good luck with whatever you decide!
I like those names. Porter also makes me think of a steak but isn't that a good thing?! I think it's kind of cute. I think I'd prefer Thomas Porter but that's just my opinion. I think Piper is a lovely name. One of my favorites. I think Alba is pretty cute too. I kind of prefer the name Alma however. I don't think they clash though. Alba and Piper sound uber cute together and the more I think about it, the Alba is growing on me.
I don't really like the way Alba Elise sounds. The 'a' sound in the end of Alba and the similar sound at beginning of Elise sound too mashed together in my opinion. I would go with a different sound like Alba Renee or Alba Louise or something that doesn't quite sound so mashed.

I love Porter! I've never heard of it before, but I think it's cool. It doesn't remind me of steak lol, that must be your cravings. And I love the name Thomas and agree with you having it as a middle name and having a more unusual first name (my plans exactly) I don't think Piper and Porter sound too cutesy. They sound good together!
As for Alba, I'm sorry but I really don't like it. It reminds me of Alvin. It doesn't seem pretty to me, and too masculine. And I find it hard to say a full name when the first name ends in a vowel and the middle name starts with a vowel. Then they kinda slur together. I love the name Elise though, and I've only ever met one person with that name, so it's not too common, especially for a little girl. But I understand you're looking for something more unique. What about Alora, Ileana, Amberly, Kyah, Auralie, or Calista? They aren't common but they aren't unheard of either.

I personally think Porter Thomas is great & sounds good together Alba is a beautiful named & different like someone else said the middle name Elise does clash somewhat. I dont feel Piper & Alba clash...Good Luck & Best wishes on your baby
I love the boys name! I think it sound good with the Piper, but do you want two kids in a row with the same first letter? Will you name them all with P's? As for Alba I can't get over the band Alba. But maybe that's just me.
Porter....makes me think of porky men....and thats not great....pllus i think of steak and especially beer. thomas is a bit of a bland name....
