True dual exhuast for 5.3 liter?
I have on 02 Z71, I want to put true dual exhaust on but leave my stock cats on. I am looking for a loud sound but sound good at the same. I like the sound of cherry bomb glass packs but i've heard they are junk any suggestions to what I should do? I am also looking to have a muffler shop do it but im not quite sure how much it would cost. I am thinking about 400 dollars? without tips.

As long as you splice into behind the cats and o2 sensors you will be fine. No way my shop would do that for 400 dollars. Figure 3 hours labor, plus Flowmasters, piping, and hangers around 6-7 bills. I am sure you can find some hillbilly shop to do it for 400 however. My shop is in the business to make a profit, not make 50 dollars off the entire job. Go to youtube and search for mufflers. Glasspacks are old school, try some 40 series Flows and 2 1/2 piping.
staring on the state you reside in you will no longer bypass inspection in case you placed 2 cat converters the place the production unit had basically one, been there executed that right here in VA. tried it with my ninety 4 Dakota returned in ninety 8 had to locate a twin in twin out cat converter and characteristic the exhaust custom made. for sturdy sound use flowmaster mufflers, and locate an inspector who in simple terms isn't too picky.
