Throat severly hurts when swallowing and talking?
It wasn't too bad a couple of days ago, but it's been getting worse. I couldn't sleep last night because it hurt so much. I can barely eat. It even hurts a bit when I breathe. Any suggestions on what this could be?
Update:So now there's little pus pockets on one tonsil, and they're severly swollen.

When you swallow does it feel like you are swallowing a ball of nails? It sounds like strep throat. Look in the back of your throat for white sores. Strep throat comes with aches pains really high fever throat so sore you don't want people looking at it. I used to get strep throat at least 7 times a year. It was horrible. Strep throat will eventually go away on it's on but I do not recommend it at all bc it's torturous lol
Check your uvula or the area around it, this happens to me a lot when my throat gets dry(i sleep with a fan facing me on hot nights), and when i wake up, i can't swallow without it feeling bad. When it happens to me, my uvula looks like it has a small pimple or cut on it, and it is a darker red than usual, or if not that, the sides of my mouth(directly left or right of the uvula) had a small white bump on it. I don't know if there is a way to get rid of it, but it usually only takes 4-5 days to go away.
