Al gore wanted me to believe that when Co2 levels go up the temperature follows. I've heard the opposite though. I need someone to prove to me which is the cause and which is the effect. I'm looking for a website. And yes I'm a skeptic.

I am a skeptic too, There is a growing number of us
Historically, CO2 has been a strong amplifying effect to various natural cycles. It has, as the temperature has started heating up, been released in to the atmosphere heating it further.
At present, some of the reserves of CO2 have been released without the previous initial warming and is now acting as a more direct cause. There are, however, still vast amounts of CO2 left in various places that still can be released as the temperature rises.
To Faithlocket: After actually Reading the link you provided I see that a) At past times CO2 has lagged with 200 - 1000 years. b) Recently, CO2 has led, not lagged, temperature.
c) The present increase in CO2 is due to humans.
CO2 is BOTH a cause and and an effect. Simple undisputed science in both cases.
Because it is a greenhouse gas, CO2 causes warming by holding heat in.
Because warm water holds less CO2, CO2 is released from ocean waters as they warm.
In previous natural warmings, the warming started for other reasons and CO2 followed later as ocean temperature rose, causing even more warming.
This time CO2 and temperature are going up simultaneously. It's one of many scientific proofs that this warming is not natural, and is (mostly) caused by us.
Others have given the two realclimate.org websites that explain more detail.
All planets are not warming, only a few. So it's not the sun.
The NASA scientists who measured the temperatures on Mars say the reason probably is giant dust storms, which are known to occur on Mars.

Global warming is real. More proof here.

Here you go: Temperatures dropped when CO2 increased. And Mar's global warming is the same as Earth's global warming. Indicating the sun is to blame. In fact, all planets have global warming. Also, ancient ice core samples prove CO2 never changed temperature in the past. However, temperatures can change CO2 since the ocean has a lot of CO2, and because melting ice and melting permafrost both release CO2.
Interestingly, temperatures decreased when CO2 increased. Temperatures dropped in the 1940's and the 1960's when CO2 levels were increasing. There were also some drops in temperature in the 1980's and 1990's. Scientific data shows that less sun was reaching the earth (solar variability) in the 1950's. Also, NASA shows the temperature of the earth only increased 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/107760main_annu...
The best sight I know that directly shows what you are asking is listed in my sources.
It is riddled with holes, and the facts as I can tell show no threat or man made cause for the slight variation in temperature.
i'm no expert in ocean salinity yet i could think of the Arctic constantly floods the oceans with sparkling water interior the summertime. the place did that sparkling water come from? It got here oftentimes from freezing salt water. So i could assume that it has a tendency to be greater salty interior the iciness and much less interior the summertime. it variety of feels we in elementary terms hear approximately it interior the summertime and forget approximately suitable to the Arctic whilst it is amassing ice. it incredibly is the final day of summer season so I assume plenty freezing and greater halite (is that the resource of the be conscious halosteric) dissolved interior the sea water interior the subsequent six months. for sure salt water is heavier. this could effect currents. too plenty sparkling could for sure be a disruption of the common ocean currents. it could additionally effect gravity and could make the water greater dense. Saltier water could tend to push it down fairly. sparkling ought to reason it to upward thrust as desperate by density. warmer water could bump up the sparkling fairly and tend to reason fairly buoyancy IMO yet undergo in strategies it is many times freezing salt water inflicting greater salinity and then that frozen water later melting inflicting much less salinity. it is greater like an oscillation than a linear variety IMO and any variety is minor. notice:i could no longer get a graph to look yet graphs are all approximately finding out on scales and periods. out of your link: <<<Of this 6mm or 20% (3mm or 10%) is as a results of globally integrated halosteric outcomes. the international halosteric conventional is produced from an extremely small halosteric sea-point upward thrust as a results of terrestrial ice soften (freshening) yet must be ruled by blunders interior the globally integrated extensive type as a results of sparse records insurance and precision of salinity observations. >>> 6 mm is as a results of halosteric outcomes. If we had incredibly important melting, perhaps it could be ten circumstances as plenty 60 mm (approx 2 inches). that doesn't seem so signficant to me. properly a minimum of it admitted there's a loss of stable records.
as more Co2 is emitted through factories, cars, etc. the co2 rises through the air and it causes the sun's rays to stay at the earth (it traps the sun's rays) causing the temperature change to rise and its called "global warming"
