My daughter is 7 weeks old, she is breast fed. She is gaining weight right along and sleeps up to 5 hours at night before waking to eat. But during the day she will eat and if she doesn't go to sleep she is crying like she's hungry within 1 1/2 hr. I try to distract her and give her a pacifier or rock her, but she keeps crying until i feed her and then she is content. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, my sister suggested a possibility of a slight case of collick, does anyone agree or know some signs of collick? (besides fussiness and crying) Any suggestions are very appreciated.

If she's crying like she is hungry, then feed her. If she is going through a growth spurt, she needs to eat more often. Breast fed babies eat more often anyway. Also, if she quits crying after you feed her, it isn't colic. My younger daughter had colic. She wouldn't eat at all once she started crying and nothing to make her stop crying.
Some babies want to eat every 3 hours, some every hour... it is not a bad thing, just like grownups, some like big meals, some like snacking.
