Look, the bussines that most sells is food, make something, ask a bank for a small finance, try to find the opportunity, you are loosing the object, that kind of things don't sell, make something, funnel cake whit lots of cream and strawberrys, buy them frost and mashed in a big food container whit sugar, cooked, and wait to cool, poured again on the container, go to a street whit the mix for funner cake, the machinary, confectioner sugar, lots of wipped cream in a cool container coleman, and the prepared strawberrys, start selling them, also don't forget to buy plates and knifes, napkins, and a cafeteria whit cups, you gonna do great, do this from 6 pm to 9:30pm, get the local permission and if you don't have the money ask for it at a bank. this the start of a new beggining, stop thinking of yourself as a victim.
You should get compensated for what you're doing. Figure the cost of materials and add in something fair for your labor and talent, too. If that's more than people will pay, then see if you can find the materials at a lower cost or get a regular job & if you truly enjoy doing this, keep it as a hobby.
You must be charging too little. You have to calculate your material costs per item and estimate-accurately the time needed to complete each item and decide how much per hour you labor is worth, plus say 20% overhead/profit for marketing, time needed to get materials, etc. If the resulting price is too high to get any sales, then you have to find something else to do
It's most definitely not worth the effort in most cases--unless you enjoy doing what you do. In that case, you should want to do it regardless of whether or not you get money. My point is that you should maybe get a part time job and have your own business going on the side.
Whether you are making cell phones, cars or crochet jewelery, you need to make something that people want to buy. Or else, you have to make them think they want to buy what you have...you need good marketing or a good product. Perhaps a little of both.
There is no such thing as "if you build it, they will come".
job security. however, get your business advertised, so you
can make a profit.
