i have a 1979 suteki shimano 600 track 10 10 speed with all original parts and wanted to sell it but every time i did research on it, i couldn't find any information on how much it was worth. ebay doesn't even have a bike anywhere near the same as mine but i find the components selling on there anywhere from $25 for the little logo sign to near $500 dollars just for the frame! i see the parts on there all the time but not the actual bike and now i doubt if i can even sell this bike for what i wanted to sell it for. when i asked a friend who has fixed bikes for over 20 years said i could probably sell it for near $1000 i told him i wanted to find out myself through the internet. whats easier selling it for parts or just the entire thing?

A department store bike that was sold by Sears back in the day. Since Sears was not a bike store, very few bikes they sold are worth much. It was probably a $200-$300 bike when new, Sears never sold any high end stuff. You might get a bit more money piecing it out, but $1000 is a pipe dream
There are VERY few bikes from the 70s and 80s which have any value and Suteki isn't one of them. The brand came with dozens of other brands during the "Japanese Invasion"... the time when the Japanese decided to export bikes with various names to see which ones would stick. Suteki didn't and was eliminated within 2 years. This doesn't make them valuable because of their relative rarity, it just makes them a near-worthless curiosity.
The Shimano 600 components- if in great shape- can bring a bit of money but don't expect to fund your college education OR a value meal for 2 at McDonalds.
The frame is worth $20-40 to someone that wants it, all the remaining parts are long obsolete.
Hey, will you put me in touch with that mechanic that says it is worth $1000? I have hundreds (yes, hundreds) of bikes from that era, some in near new condition and some with the same or better parts as yours that he can have for $10 each plus shipping but he has to take at least 100 of them. Same price as he estimates your lone bike is worth.
10 speed bikes went out before 1980. Parts too. Maybe $50 to $100.
there are no 10 speed track bikes
it is a lot of work to sell parts
you have to answer questions , or sell for nothing
sell the bike
maybe $100 depending on if it is really a track bike or just an old 10 speed
if you expect $1000, be ready to wait about 40 years to find the right person
even 200 would be a long wait
50 if you have to sell fast

Craigslist - $500. If it doesn't sell, repost under a different email address for $400, then $300, then $200, then $100.
Want to sell it right away? $25.
Sell the whole bike the parts are almost worthless.
