i have to admit though im not really looking forward to it all that much. i was excited about the burning crusade. i was giddy over wrath. but now im not sure im going to get sucked into this new one. i've been playing since the beginning and raiding since molten core. (i raided the original naxx as a matter of fact)
so sure there are new cool things, talents being rearranged and essentially going back to what it was in vanilla as are the stats. new classes, changing the land around to suit the storyline...but still. i think im going to have to wait for diablo now. :D

Cataclysm comes out 7th of december 2010
Benefits are - level cap raised to 85 the time to level from 80 to 85 is the same amount of time it took you to level from 70 to 80 apparently.
New ui changes spell auras being implemented
New race/class combinations
Azeroth is all changing ALL zones are getting changed in some way for example the barrens will be split into 2 parts.
Archaology new proffesion will be there too
All the stats will be changed not quite sure what yet but the stats we have on our gear at the moment will be getting reforged which i forgot to mention is a new thing that lets you change stats from level 200+ gear and change them for example Crit rating > Mastery
Also new talents and spells will be added .
It comes out at December 7th. It was going to be earlier but they delayed it to December 7th.
In the expansion you can reach level 85. There is two new races (Goblin - Horde and Worgen - Alliance). The Zones (Barrens ect) have been remade. Theres New high-level zones. Theres new race and class combinations (blood elf warrior for an example)
And my favourite: Flying Mounts in Azeroth :D

Release is scheduled for Dec 7th (just in time for xmas shopping), and there are a lot of changes; not everything is an improvement (IMNSHO at least) but it DOES have 2 new races, and a few other tweaks. Definitely going to be a change for those of us who have been around for a while.
