How do I get my four month old kitten to stop hissing @ me?
The kitten is very nice, smart..even let's me rub her stomach. I know she trust me..but all of a sudden she's on a hissing fit. How do I calm her down again?
Were you petting her when she started her 'hissing fit'? If so, she likely told you she didn't want to be pet anymore.
If it's out of the blue, she may just be very warm or very cold. She may also hear/smell animals outside, which would provoke her. Or, you may have scared her by moving too fast, speaking too loud, or having a new scent on you that she doesn't recognize.
I have one, older but she doesn't that, instead she does not like it when I touch/rub her with my left hand.......???? So I quit doing that and respect her for what she wants.
To answer you Q, I'm not sure. Cats act strange sometimes for whatever reason. Where is she hissing at you? Are YOU doing something to make he hiss at you? Is is scared of something at your place?-- too much noise/ commotion going on in the area? Are you raising your hand or suddenly doing it to get a hold of her or trying to catch her?
So it could be a bunch of different things. Ask your self those Qs and see if any applies and change it. MOST importantly, RESPECT her and her space. LET her come to you when she is ready. Be EXTRA loving to her at meal time and give her treats.

just back off and let her calm down
trying to do more to calm her may just make it worse.
it's possible she associates something bad with some action and is wary.
consider taking her to the vets tho if it goes on. there may be something wrong. even a furball can cause a kitty pain if they're big.
Wow, you must of did something bad to her? or maybe you smell like something she doesn't know of.
