I would be shocked if Froch won. Kessler's only two losses are to definite future hall of famer Joe Calzaghe, and a tremendously talented Andre Ward. Remember, the US Olympics boxing team made Andre Ward move up in weight to challenge for the light heavy weight medal and he still won gold. It was never doubted that he would reach this level. But perhaps, it was not expected that he'd do it in such a dramatic fashion versus Mikkel Kessler. Kessler is a very solid, well rounded fighter. He has some speed, he has power, good punch selection and commendable defense. When we were first introduced to Kessler on this side of the pond, many assumed he was another overrated fighter with a padded record fighting in Europe. But once we actually saw him fight, it was clear that he had talent and strong fundamentals. He also has wins over Anthony Mundine and Markus Beyer (neither are near elite but their names are recognizable to some fans), and pummeled Librado Andrade for 12 brutal rounds.
Froch struggled versus Jermain Taylor before JERMAIN had his usual meltdown. Froch didn't win because he's that good. He won because Jermain Taylor is...well, Jermain Taylor.
If Kessler can get over the embarrassment of his one sided loss to Andre Ward and get back in shape, both mentally and physically, I expect him to walk to a UD of Froch and possibly stop him late (corner stoppage?)
Two guys with great chins here and I don't think either of them have the power to KO each other. I think Kessler is a far better boxer than Froch and I think being on home turf will play to his favor too even though Froch does has done well away from home before.
Froch will brawl a bit and want to go toe to toe but Kessler should be able to counter him quite well. I expect Kessler to win this by UD and shut Froch up for a bit. I'm sure win or lose Froch all Froch will have to talk about after the fight is how Calzaghe ducked him.
You know, I really haven't been much of a Carl Crotch, I mean Froch, fan and I think he has a big mouth at times, but I think he will beat Kessler.
Froch just has some type of knack for finding a way to win...
I though Taylor would beat him and he almost did, but Froch won with a late KO...
I thought Dirrell would beat him and I thought he did, but Froch got the decision...
But aside from that...In seeing Kessler versus Ward, Kessler looked very stiff and acted as if he was just trying to land one big punch.. Kessler has no lateral movement and didn't show any signs of being able to throw punches from angles, so Ward dissected him...
Froch has been praising his chance to take on Kessler because he knows that Kessler will stand and trade with him....and for this reason I see Froch beating Kessler....I know that it's going to be on Kessler's mind that he lost to Ward in his last outing and I think he may get careless...plus Froch's style is very awkward, as if he doesn't know a thing or two about boxing, but he makes the best of what brawling skills he has...
I don't think this fight will go the distance and I see a mid to late KO in favor of "The Cobra"
I see Kessler taking the fight to Froch, Froch's chin won't hold up against Kessler. His combination punching will tell the tale of the fight. IMO Froch is very overrated and will be exposed very soon.
i got froch winning this one. kessler was once again beaten because of speed, his only losses have come from fighters who had quicker hands than him and better stamina. froch proved he can be in there with a slugger like taylor. froch's stamina will be the factor and he will out box kessler the same way ward did.
i'm hoping this takes place, the two are coming off of massive wins, regardless of the incontrovertible fact that Froch extra suitable than Kessler i might say. Kessler gained over Froch final time, even regardless of the incontrovertible fact that it replaced into in Denmark. in my opinion i think of that that's anybodies combat, it ought to all boil right down to area, if the combat is in Britain Froch wins, no count if that's in Denmark Kessler wins. the two have good chins so i think of that it is going to a determination the two way. This one fairly ought to bypass the two way, after Froch's dominant breaking down of a youthful, undefeated champion i think of he might have that little bit extra interior the tank and take a different determination over Kessler in a hoop warfare.

Froch will have to stop Kessler to win this one. He wont win on points against Kessler.
