I have the Family Time Basic plan with T-Mobile. A lot of the time I can't get a T-Mobile signal, but when I check my available networks I can get a Cingular signal. However I don't want to use it if I'm going to be charged a roaming fee. Does anyone know if I can roam on the Cingular network for free?

You can roam on cingular using the manual select setting in the phone and not be charged, but that does not mean that you will be able to use the cingular tower that your phone sees. If you are in an area that T-Mobile does not have a roaming agreements with Cingular, although you can see the Cingular network, you will be rejected trying to use it. The only way to know for sure is to try it and see what happens. Chances are if you phone does not automatically pick up the stronger Cingular signal, there is no roaming agreement between the 2 companys in your area. Good Luck
