I want you all to justify why your religion is the right one and not just because you where brought up in it.
The universe is an amazing place. The sheer beauty, complexity and order out of chaos leads me to believe in an intelligent creator or force. ( don't ask me who created the creator lol)
I find it hard to believe in any religion as they all seem far fetched too me,
explain to me why you believe in your religion and why
thanks :)

In asking questions like this, The one thing that people tend to ignore is personal experience.
One can claim that deity exists or doesn't exist, but there is no means available to actually use scientific method to provide "proof" (evidence) for either side.
No _credible_ scientist will even _attempt_ to use scientific method to _test_ for the supernatural (including deity).
The only thing that people have going for them is:
1. Personal Experience
2. Opinion
Add attitude to either of those and you have a case for supreme arrogance. I truly appreciate the position of the agnostic in this matter. At least, they don't make a fool of themselves.
Regardless, the reason that my path is right _for me_ is because I had a personal experience that goes beyond anything science can explain.
And without that kind of experience, I would likely be either atheist or agnostic, both stages of non-belief that I went through before I had that experience.
Ok, I don't have a lot of time to put into an answer.
God has always existed. I agree with your philosophy. There has to be a God who put everything in existance. It wouldn't be logical to say something not supernatrual and all powerful exists for all eternity, would it?
Now, if you believe in God, why does religion seem far fetched?

Think of the most beautiful moment that could exist in your life. Picture it now.
Could that moment be planned?
For me, no. And I think most people would agree. The truly great moments of life are not planned. They occur and they are enjoyed.
Next time you look at the stars, or at a waterfall, don't ruin the moment by imagining that a superman created it. Enjoy the fact that it happened, without planning, and that you were there to witness it.
If you believe that the works of nature need help from above, why not imagine that magic pixies were the intelligent creator?
well, Christianity is based wholly upon the claim that Jesus of Nazareth rose from the dead. why? well, Jesus himself said "no man can take my life, for I have the power to lay it down and to rise it up again. this command was given to my by my father (God)". meaning that if Jesus really rose from the death, then the ultimate source and foundation of the universe of our being, is the God of abraham Issac and Jacob. meaning that there is a true religion, and true worldview. here is a 12 hour lecture series on the historical evidence for the resurrection by professional historian Mike Licona: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA7PJxvU4rI&feature...
also, I'd recommend resurrection of the son of God, by historian and NT scholar Tom Wright. in this book wright gives 800 pages worth of dense information explain why the resurrection was the only probable explaination for the rise of early christianity: http://www.amazon.com/Resurrection-Christian-Origi...
I’m a Unitarian Universalist. The founding principal of Universalism is that it’s not the only religion that is right and that everyone is going to heaven regardless of religion.
Consider this, one day, time will stop.
Just knowing that, I would say this universe is not made for us. We're lucky but in the end our race will be forgotten by existence. Depressing huh?
dave. . .your assumption is correct, that someone has made all of this. col 1.16 says that someone is jesus. i invite you to read the new testament and not to think in terms of a religion but the person of christ as someone you need in your life to be forgiven of all sin and have eternal life through him because that is what he said we needed. john 4.10, john 5.24, rev 3.20, john 10.25 to 29, john 11.25 to 26, heb 1. rom 10.9 to 13. I'm God and one day you all will see my face. We are all Gods and we create things just like the ultimate creator created us.
