Remove any visible screws. The screws around the latch plate between the two sides of the door are standard. The location of other screws can change though, depending on the type of doorknob and the manufacturer. Try looking on the round, doorknob plate on one side of the door or on the neck of the knob itself.
Use screwdriver to remove the screws.
by hand
push in the release on the handle to remove the knob (the side the lock is on" there is a pin hole and 180 degrees from that is a slot")If I remember correctly it is the slot that is the release side but not sure, then remove the shied to expose the screws. then remove 2 screws to get it out of the door
Get a screwdriver and unscrew the screws attaching it to the door.
T told you the right procedure. Get the knob off first, then you can pry off the beauty plate covering the screws.
at last! something duct tape can not fix!!
