he is so young!!! like 30 or something. at least he looks really young. he also is an immigrant from vietnam. he has his own office, and his title is M.D., if that is suppose to mean anything. i dont want to ask him how he did it, because that would be awkward. but how do you think he did it? i really want to be like him when i grow up. assuming he is in his early 30's, do you think he had to be rich before being a doctor? cause when i think about it, i will probably go to college for at least 6-8 years after high school. that means i will be about his age when i finish college. but wouldnt i be in debt for school? then how did my doctor pay for school, rent/buy an office, AND afford stuff like insurance? wow.... so amazing...

ask him. i dont think he will mind. what i think is that he already had the money.
Becoming a doctor takes 8 years of college followed by at least 3 years of residency. So if you start when you're 18, you'll be done by around 29. It's possible he didn't just start the practice; he may have joined an established practice or be connected to a hospital. But yes, he's probably going to be in debt for a while.
Most people that are successful don't mind being asked, as long as you ask nicely and whatever questions you ask, do not ask about how much money he makes. That's considered to be rude. Most doctors make close to 100K and many make over that.
But you can ask him, how did you get to be so successful? What motivates you to be a doctor? Questions like that are fine as long as you are asking in a respectful manner. I'm sure that he was very motivated to make something of himself and of his life, and that he studied hard in med school and that's why he's doing very well now.
You should see his house. Every doctor I know lives in a mansion, and I know a bunch of them.
I don't think affording medical school is a huge deal. Sometimes people do borrow all the money, and that's a pretty bad idea, even for a doctor.
He's probably a good Dr and has regular patients. He may have student loans that he is now repaying. Tell him that you want to be like him when you grow up and ask him for some tips. He'd probably be flattered.
