Are 3 day weekends with family enough if traveling for work the rest of the week?
Can the extra full day of weekend make up for the days of being gone? Or will the wife feel like a single parent 4 days a week? Is this schedule too hard on a family?
It would take a lot of work on both the father and the mother's side. Nightly phone calls would help, and making sure that those three days spent together is filled with quality time would also help. If the mother has close friends or family who could help her when her husband is gone, that would be great as well.
If both of you work hard and stay committed, I believe you'll find it rewarding in the end.
