Okay, every time I was my hair, I get clumps of hair. But yesturday I had gobbs of hair coming out. Why would this be happening?
I used to have very thick beautiful hair. Now It is getting thinner. At an alarming rate. I am sure I must be lacking something?? Maybe iron?? thanks for all the help??

A-You could be stressed out. If you are, that is a good reason, women lose hair during stressful times.
B-You could be lacking iron, you can stop by CVS or any drugstore and get a bottle of Iron pills for like 3 dollars.
C-If your not eating, or not eating properly hair starts to fall out at a fast rate.
Hope this helps!
Could be lacking iron. If you are not eating properly, make sure to change that, that could have something to do with it. Having a baby could do it too. Try taking some Hair and Nails vitamins and see if it improves the problem. If not, and it's really bad, go to the doctor, it might be some health issue and your body telling you something. My friend has Alopecia which she's healthy but her hair falls out for no reason, she's been living with it for years and she's practically bald when she takes her wig off. But really, it can be a number of things.
I have that problem too. I have read a lot about this and saw that stress can cause this to happen.
I have also read in my nutrition class that a poor diet can have a negative affect on hair. If you do not get the proper nutrients each day, and drink a lot of water loss of hair is one of the ways your body shows it's not getting enough nutrients.

This website has some really good information, it will help you track your intake of nutrients. Don't worry, any information you enter into that site is confidential and private to you only.
I hope things work out for you.
Well, stress WILL do that to you easily. Calm things down. but, if that's not it, you should make sure you are getting plenty of dark greens. And yes, iron helps to. Some good sources of iron are nuts, fish, eggs, dried beans and peas, and whole grain. Also, make sure you are getting plenty of vitamin A. Some good sources of vitamin A are spinach, squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, and apricots. Also, you might want to see a dermotoligist. I know that sounds strange, but trust me. It could be your skin.
well it could be many reasons....
1. It could be caused by stress have you been going through a stressful time?
2. You might have alopecia but if you have dont worry iv had alopecia in the past and my hair has grown back better then ever
Hope this has helped you
One of the possible reason is due to the increase intake of MSG (monosodium glumate), a widely-used additive especially in Asia, which can be added to produce tasty dishes. This may cause tightness in the face, extreme thirst when consumed in large amounts and drop of hair . Also pulling your hair due to being stressed might be another reason
I know people thats hair have falling out after they had children.... Maybe try using voluminizing shampoo, and hair products.. If that doesn't work try going to your local hair salon, and asking them what they suggest..
i know someone that has the same problem. she is losing her hair, because she has low iron levels. so shes taking iron pills and now her hair is getting thicker again. so i'd go to your doctor and find out if your iron is low.
(:
have you recently become a vegetarian?
because not eating meat means your lacking a certain vitamin that helps your hair grow .
stress can cause hair to fall try to relax
