I would like some good solilid honest answers. What do you think? How should we solve today's problems? I left it open ended so you can focus on what ever you think you can solve.
The problems are in two basic categories - man-made and not man-made.
The man-made ones stem from inefficient and/or corrupt governments (& politicians) - the fact that for the most part either lawyers or the military are in positions of power. Other man-made problems are the result of greed and exploitation of the environment by industry.
The first step in solving these problems is to remove the greedy and unscrupulous from positions of power. Once this is accomplished we have a chance at ending war, bringing proper resources to bear on dealing with disease, famine and other ills. However so long as the current political climate persists there is not much we can do.
The problems that are not man-made such as climate change, (yes I know Al Gore says differently, but the latest studies indicate that he is wrong and that the entire Solar System is warming - except for Mercury which is somehow cooling, and that this is a natural process that is not caused by anything humans have done), and all of the subsidiary problems caused by this warming such as flooding, drought, and other weather-related problems - there is not much we can do about this except adapt or move.
The world will only change when people change first. People need to find the way of life that leads onward and upward. They need to discover the spiritual laws within that create harmony and goodness from the inside out. Every problem is a cancerous growth that starts with human selfishness and denial of the truths that govern our existence. Without real enlightenment expect people to continue to look to worldy systems to control their lives, and in the end "people who cannot govern themselves will be ruled by tyrants"
We can't,because we will never cohesively unite decisively in solidarity to tackle the problems. We have one group that believes their plan is the best and another that believes the same. We're never all "reading on the same page" so to speak. But there is One Who will solve all the problems in the world. He is not here yet,but He's Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.I can't hardly wait!.Hallelujah or translated to English: "Praise The Lord"
Honest discussions and debates. Get rid of the egos and arrogance. Focus on people. (and animals) Try different things and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Learn from them. Look outside ourselves to the larger picture. Recruit the hard working people. Get rid of the moosh. Find a way to hold people accountable for the actions/decisions they make in terms of consequences to others.
