While around the world all the other continents grew numerous. Was there, for some reason, only one large group of people living there or did one European nation took it from natives and made it into a single nation?
Sorry, I know barely anything about Australia. It just seems strange how Europe for example has 50 or so nations and a single one takes up the whole continent if Australia.

in 1901 when Australia became a Federation
The Federation of Australia was the process by which the six separate British self-governing colonies of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia formed one nation. They kept the systems of government that they had developed as separate colonies but also would have a federal government that was responsible for matters concerning the whole nation. When the Constitution of Australia came into force, on 1 January 1901, the colonies collectively became states of the Commonwealth of Australia.

you are quite wrong, but I have looked at your questions and answers and you are wrong about almost everything, especially your racist views on Jews and your admiration of Hitler.

There was a large Aboriginal population in Australia. Various European countries throughout the 17th and 18th centuries had sent ships that had come into contact with various parts of Australia. This included the Dutch, The French and the English
In the 1780's England decided to use Australia as a penal colony to send their criminals to. The First shipload of criminals arrived in Sydney Harbour in 1788. They built the colony of Sydney, and it all started from there.
The Aboriginal population were forced to try to become "European". Many died of diseases the colonizers brought with them.
In the mid 20th century Australia had a policy to take Aboriginal children from their parents and place them in boarding schools. they were called "The Stolen Generation"
Australia's treatment of the Aboriginal population has been less then kind
Today there are no real full blooded Aboriginals left
Yes thats right you barely know anything about Australia, anyway heres the quick version, the dutch had a look and did f**k all about it then the poms came along and said "ill take that", kicked the Aborgines out of the areas that they wanted and said its ours (like they did in alot of countries those days), they then used it as a penal colony and sent all they riff raff from england because they wanted to rid england of the low lifes, after awhile Australia then got its own government cos the poms thought it was too hot down here and with the prisoners that were released from prison and the first settlement people/staff that came down started making a life here etc, after awhile the brainier people in this country worked out that we have alot of things to sell i.e gold, raw materials etc that other countries needed so we were making a buck, also the land was good for different crops and live stock around the country so we had a varity of foods to consume, the poms still had a little pull over the top of us until near the second world war then we were on our own after that except we still have to be nice to the queen etc, as for why Australia being on its own I would say it because of its way too far from europe etc so you needed a big *** boat to get here and the closer countries were primative them days and the best thing they would of had was a canoe.
In 1949 sectarian violence between Moslems and Hindus broke out around the sub-continent by using fact, for the 1st time in 10+ centuries, there grew to become into no remote places ruler(like the British) to maintain the peace. the effects of Partition grew to become into the deaths of tens of millions of human beings and destruction and persevered hatered that immediately threatens to engulf the region in atomic conflict! No way will those counties ever connect jointly. there's a ways too plenty history and hatred to pever permit this. you're making a sturdy element yet a guy made national entity like Iraq has extra danger at piece than those countries being cobbled jointly.
Because Australia was all controlled by the British, so it became one country when it gained independence.
In response to the coronation of Napoleon I as the Emperor of the French, the Australian Empire was officially proclaimed in 1804.
