high school help!!!????

2011-2012 school year attended a new private school. the reason i chose to go was the fact that the SAT scores were amazing. The school warns you that it is challenging( we had 10 merit scholars in our recent graduating class). When i applied i thought i would still make the same grades as i did at my old school. but that was not the case. i started struggling to keep my grades at at least a "c". At my old school i made mostly "a's" and a couple "b's". I finish this past quarter with a "b" in most classes except for the three "c's" i made which one was on the virge of being a "d". i was devastated. i have always been a good student its just i wasn't prepared for the amount of work. i was nervous about continuing my education at the school because i am a rising ninth grader and high school is where it all counts. i met with the academic coordinator at my school to ask about my placement in my 9th grade courses. i would be in zero honors classes. (my school only offers 2 for 9th grade). The public school i am zoned for has me in all honors and one AP class. my academic coordinator said the cp classes at my school are harder than the honors at public school. and i know that. the thing is.. i would be getting cp GPA points which are lower than honors and AP. i have always strived to be on national honors society. there were only 25 students in the senor class that were. at my old school a tone of kids got in to NHS, if u were a good student and made good grades. but its so hard to make good grades at my new school. My only thing is i didn't wanna have to be knew again for another year. i know a few people that are leaving to attend the public school in my area. i just want to know what to do.... is it worth being knew another year? if it helps my gpa. I am not saying that i wouldn't have to work hard at public school, i was just saying my school is so hard. i wanna have a life in high school and make good grades like i did at my old school. should i go talk to someone at my current school. should choose the private(current school) or public school?
