There is no "Iraqi government". The people who sit in that position are members of different tribes and sects and will never agree on anything.. They are too busy supporting their own sects' war on the other sects.
They might as well go someplace else...they aren't doing anything anyway.
Not this year - someone has noticed there's a war going on and that they should at least pretend to be governing while we fight it for them on their behalf - and. we'll probably increase our aid to buy air conditioners so they can survive the hot, hot summer in Baghdad - doubt if there will be enough money for body armour, though.
It's iraqi parliament's favorite subject "RECESS". They know nothing about running their country... so they look forward to that two month recess to look back at how much they have accomplished... which is zip... nada... zero.
Its obvious therte is a political void in Iraq, Mqtada Al Sadr will fill it, he is playing the game of the Cat and the Mouse with USA and he is the Cat.
no one knows. I'm half afraid most won't make it back alive, or will be to frightened to come back. can you imagine the security each one of these guys will need?

Do our troops get a two month vacation? I didn't think so. There are issues in Iraq that need to be dealt with NOW, not in two months!

I guess I would back a 2 month vacation if it meant the troops could have one too. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm sure they NEED one, I'm just not sure they DESERVE one.
