I'm back with another drink mix question from Grandma's recipe box Help me?
The recipe is for punch. I can read most of it; 2 cups pineapple juice, 2 cups lemon juice, 1 jar maraschino cherries in their juice, 3 sliced lemons, 1 dozen sliced oranges, but then it says add wine or liquor...something. I can't read the last word in that line of the recipe. The last line is freeze, when ready add 2 quarts ginger ale. Any ideas about the mystery word? It looks like it was in quotes if that helps.
Update:could be two words "or" and a 4 letter word starting with b.

Sounds like a recipe that my dad used to put whiskey in, it was like a slushy whiskey sour kind of thing! Thanks for the memory!
Did your g'ma have a name for the drink?
I would think any white wine will do in this recipe. Also, since you're mixing with a lot of other stuff, it doesn't have to be a great bottle of wine.
From your g'mas days, it was probably Chablis.
Edit... Brut Champagne?
How about Liquor of your choice.
Its a pretty basic recipe so you could use what ever you have available or prefer to drink
