There were a few stationary cameras around the Pentagon that captured that plane, however both that I saw had been in place for years. A camera at a gas station caught the plane passing very close to the ground near the gas station and a parking lot entrance camera at the Pentagon caught the impact. The camera at the Pentagon did not have great detail as the impact was at the far end of the range of the camera.

There are several shots of the impact of the second WTC tower as news cameras were pointed at the first tower at the WTC. I have not seen any footage of the impact at the first WTC tower. I have also not heard of any footage from the crash in PA.

So, to answer this part of the question: "...as if the person taking it knew what was going to happen?", no.

There's plenty of video from stationary security cameras.

There was the group of Israeli men who parked their van and got cameras out at a vantage point nearby. When asked why they were there, they said they had come to record the event. That footage was never shown publicly.

I was watching when after the first tower was hit and the reporter was on a building doing a report about it and the second plane went right into the second tower behind the reporter as he was reporting. He was so like wow another plane
