Good ridden to bad companies?
Hmmm...the sales of gas guzzleing hogs are dropping like a rock, Gee, I wonder why? Well if car companies fall I think it will be a good thing. Just maybe we might get some cool mono rails and there might be less accidents on the road which is right at the top of the number of failalities each year. Maybe our air might be easier to breath and please no more conbustion engines spread the word non-combustion is the way to go. No more sucking resources there is not reson why we can't start back in the right direction recycle the old trash come up with somthing better and get off oil all together. All these companies deserve to go out of bussiness. And it looks like they will because they have no vision serves them right they all caused the mess we are in now and karma is biting them in the butt. So what do you think do you think this is a good chance to move in a different direction?

I enjoy the irony that the greed of the Oil Companies is killing the very industry upon which they depend to sell their product.

If some of the car co. start to fall, then the bigger car co.
can price there cars at what ever they want to. I live in a
small town, so there is no way a monorail could save us.
Think about it, if the cow farmers started dropping, do you
think milk and beef would stay the same, or would the prices
go up. Even the small car co. help make the world go round.
So there you have it. Yes, everyone can and should contribute to things like recycling, carpooling, and not littering,
but is everyone willing do put forth an effort? I don't think so.
It is pure fantasy to get rid of the internal combustion engine.... Not going to happen!.... Its so sad you hate this country.... Sure our big car industrys have there problems but they built this country...... Less cars mean less freedom --- You like freedon dont you? or are you a socialist?..... Air easier to breath? It already is. I remember the air pollution over our citys when I was a kid back in the middle of the last century.... These new cars have pollution controls on them now which has reduced pollution to no where near what it was when I was a kid. Cars used leaded gas and were big polluters - Not anymore..... Why dont you go beat up on China and India where they spew 10 times the amount of crap in the air than we do here in the USA.... You never hear the new environmental communist talk about that now do you? --- They just rag on America all the time.....
It's nice to dream but all your big oil companies have a large interest in the car industry, whether it's a Ford, Toyota or GM.
I think this is a great opportunity to get us off oil and giving money to those who do not use it wisely. You seen CNN this morning. This guy figured out a way to run his car off of water! Why aren't car companies doing that themselves? Who cares what run's the car as long as it's healthy and cheap??
This is "the people's" opportunity to remove politicians who have been supporting the fossil fuel companies and the manufacturers of the gas guzzlers you talk about.
November 2008 can be a beginning of a good thing or it can be a "status quo" and MARS will soon repeat itself on EARTH.
I think there are numerous major corporations out of touch with the US citizens. Hopefully a lot of this will change after Dubay is out of office. We need to start taxing these corporations like crazy to help pay for our public transportation needs.
