GH: New James Franco promo. What do you think?
Entertainment Weekly has a new General Hospital promo on their site that shows the first real glimpse of the new mysterious character Franco played by film star James Franco. http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2009/11/10/james-fr...
From the promo it describes Franco as an assassin who is obsessed with death. I'm not sure how this will tie into the whole CO77X graffiti or if he is still supposed to be Mr. Poletti's son and Dante's childhood friend like we originally thought. Anything is still possible at this point.
I'm definitely looking forward to this storyline though. Franco is supposed to have ties to several major characters and it has been said that he's going to be shaking up some of the relationships in Port Charles. The actor said that he enjoyed his time on GH and that he would be open to returning sometime in the future.
I've noticed that several major entertainment sites such as EW.com have had stories about this. There was also an article about it in the most recent issue of TV guide. I'm hoping that all of this publicity will draw in new viewers and help GH's ratings a bit.

Peyton, thank you for the promo site; it gave me the shivers watching it. This is so big to have a great star like Franco coming to GH, and I expect the story to be just as big. It will be a great ratings boost to GH and to the soaps in general having such a big talent stepping into daytime. This storyline definitely makes me interested and hopefully it will draw some newbies into daytime and show them that GH is on the same par, and sometimes better, than prime-time and well worth their hours time every day!
This character looks like the most fascinating one we've seen in a long time! I can't wait! This promo and everything I've seen about this character only makes me more and more interested. I just hope that the writers don't drop the ball on this one and make his s/l as great as it sounds. This could be the ratings boost that GH needs.
Im kinda happy a hollywood star would come on its been a while since one has been on, I remember when Elizabeth Taylor was on the show, and Ricky Martin was VERY HOT when he was on. I hear that James Franco's role is temporary in Port Charles, so watch while you can.
Yea he is so hot..lol I haven't really been into GH in a while I'm slowly getting back into it. GH alway's got to have some mystery every once and again.lol
I love any storyline where a new hot guy comes to GH. I wonder who will get the hots for him Lulu?
I am glad they are switching up the story line for once....instead of a huge fire in a hotel, or hostage situation, or who's the daddy....I think this mysterious stalking story line is actually going to have us all anxious....and finally it will be an interesting story line that will keep us hanging. Plus he is so hot.
He's so romantic looking like he belongs in a show with a castle and a queen! I like his storyline and from the good things I've read about him, it sounds promising.
Yes I am interested! NOt many established Hollywood stars have willingly asked to come on a soap so that had me interested from the begining!
Oh, man. I don't watch GH, but James Franco is hot, hot, hot. I totally dig him. I might have to start watching.
I sure hope so! The stories have been losing a little steam and that isn't good. I hope it isn't a big name with a silly storyline... hopefully his talent will be maximized and the writing exceptional.
